The Just Transition: Skills Innovation and the Future of Work in a Net-Zero

The shift to a net-zero economy is not just an environmental challenge, it is a workforce challenge. As industries transform and green jobs emerge, the question is not simply whether we can reach net-zero, but whether we can get there fairly, leaving no worker, community, or country behind. This session explores the intersection of climate action, skills development, and economic justice examining how governments, businesses, and educators can work together to ensure the green transition creates opportunity rather than deepening inequality. Attendees can expect: Conversations on green jobs, reskilling, and workforce transformation Insights on how industries are adapting to net-zero targets Discussions on education and training systems fit for a green economy Policy perspectives on building a just and inclusive transition Real-world examples of communities navigating the shift to sustainability Whether you are a policymaker, business leader, educator, or advocate; this session will equip you with the thinking and tools needed to champion a transition that is not only green, but genuinely just.
